What I’m Building
Most of my evenings go to Pressccino, a WordPress-only hosting control panel that diagnoses and heals sites on its own. The idea is something you watch rather than operate: sites that are fine stay quiet, and only what needs attention stands out. It is open source, and it is the software Hostccino will run on.
Docker is my go-to tool for nearly all of it. Almost everything I self-host runs in a container, and I reach for it before I reach for anything else.
Webccino is live and taking on clients, so there is usually a site in progress alongside it.
Educcino is moving more slowly on purpose. It is a Nachhilfe academy in Dresden for students supported through the BuT programme, and that one has to be right rather than fast.
What I’m Learning
I’m studying Cybersecurity at BHT Berlin, which is turning the habits I picked up running my own servers into something more structured.
Right now I’m exploring Prometheus, with the Prometheus Certified Associate in mind. Part of the appeal is that I want to build it into Pressccino: a panel that heals sites on its own has to know what is actually happening on them first.
I got the CCNA in May 2026, mostly so I would understand how the internet actually works before running a hosting company instead of after.

Whatever I work out ends up here as a guide. A newsletter is on the way as well, for anyone who would rather have new posts arrive than remember to come back.
Life Beyond the Screen
Once a year I take my Urlaub in Rabah, the village in Syria where I grew up, and stay about a month. I cannot go much longer than that without seeing my family and friends there.
The rest of the year you will find me going for a drive, at the gym some weeks, or taking a walk to clear my head. Evenings are normally something on the screen with my parents and brother.
